Start by choosing the ATV route that matches the kind of experience you're looking for.

Choose the Mountain ATV route to follow forest and mountain trails through the Guanacaste countryside. Experience changing terrain, small river crossings and, depending on seasonal conditions, a visit to a waterfall during the rainy season.

Choose the Beach ATV route to follow backroads and coastal trails toward the Zapotal and Matapalo beach area, with a short beach stop along the Pacific coast.

Get behind the handlebars of a 400cc ATV and follow your professional guide away from the main roads and into the landscapes of Guanacaste. Depending on your selected route, you'll experience mountain scenery, tropical forest, countryside or coastal landscapes. Keep your eyes open along the way. Monkeys, birds and other wildlife may sometimes be seen in their natural surroundings, although wildlife sightings on the ATV trails cannot be guaranteed.

ATV drivers must be at least 16 years old, and a passenger option is available.

This combo is a great choice for guests who want the excitement of an ATV tour together with a wildlife experience during the same visit.

Choose the mountain for forest trails and changing terrain or head toward the coast for a completely different Guanacaste ATV experience. Whichever route you choose, you'll finish with a visit to the wildlife park. Professional guides accompany the ATV experience, and required ATV safety equipment is provided. In approximately 2.5 hours, you'll experience two very different sides of Guanacaste—the adventure of exploring by ATV and the wildlife at Congo Canopy.

Important Beach Route Information

ATVs are no longer permitted to ride directly on the beach or sand. Our Beach Route travels along scenic backroads and permitted trails near the coastline, offering beautiful views of Guanacaste's beaches and the Pacific Ocean without riding on the sand.
