Take a boating adventure through the estuaries of Tamarindo. Though you will be navigating the territory that is home to some big crocodiles, this is a very relaxing experience as you meander through the waters. It’s more than just animals with big teeth! You will also be able to observe and learn about the flora and fauna that coexist in the Tamarindo mangrove and estuary; from monkeys to a wide variety of species of tropical birds. You will also learn about the mysterious trees with intricate root systems that grow in the mangrove, and how they are vital to the ecosystem.

This estuary separates Playa’s Tamarindo and Grande and is teeming with life you will not see within either town, it’s like it’s own little contained world. These estuaries are important to the ecosystem of Guanacaste, not only are they homes to abundant wildlife, but they help keep the water systems healthy. Bring the whole family for this educational adventure!
