Beach ATV Tour in Guanacaste, Costa Rica
 

Ride from the Guanacaste countryside toward the Pacific coast on the ATV Beach Trails Tour at Congo Canopy. This approximately two-hour guided ATV adventure combines backroads, forest and coastal trails with a ride toward the Zapotal and Matapalo beach area and a short stop near the ocean.
 

It's a different way to experience Guanacaste—leaving the main roads behind, traveling through changing landscapes and reaching the Pacific coast by ATV.
 

Ride the Backroads of Guanacaste

After meeting your guide and getting familiar with your ATV, head away from the main roads and onto the trails. Travel through the countryside along dirt roads and forested sections as your guide leads you toward the coast. The changing terrain is part of the adventure, taking you from the inland landscape of Guanacaste toward the Pacific.
 

Follow the Trails Toward the Pacific

Continue along the Beach ATV route toward the Zapotal and Matapalo beach area.

As the scenery changes, experience the transition from countryside and forest trails to the coastal landscape of Guanacaste. Keep your eyes open along the route for birds, monkeys, iguanas and other wildlife that may be present in the surrounding habitat. Wildlife sightings occur naturally and cannot be guaranteed.
 

Take a Short Beach Stop

Reach the coastal area and take a short beach stop before continuing your ATV adventure.

Enjoy the Pacific surroundings, take some photos and experience the contrast between the inland trails and Guanacaste's coastline before getting back on your ATV.

The beach stop is part of the route rather than an extended beach or swimming excursion.
 

Drive or Ride Along

ATV drivers must be at least 16 years old. Passenger options are available, allowing eligible guests who aren't driving to experience the adventure on a two-person ATV.

Our two-person ATVs can carry a maximum combined weight of 800 lbs for the driver and passenger.
 

Professional guides lead the tour, and required ATV safety equipment is provided before heading onto the trails. No driver's license is required, although bringing identification is recommended.

In approximately two hours, you'll experience Guanacaste from the countryside to the coast on one guided ATV adventure.
